Emily Anderson Duck: Co-Founder, Co-Designer and Photographer

Emily was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, where she lives today with her husband and two children. While she has always had a love for classically designed children’s clothing, her passion was truly ignited when she welcomed her first child Ryan to the world and couldn’t get enough of all of his darling clothes. It was then that she and her sister (and best friend!) Kathryn decided to take the plunge and launch their own children’s clothing line, Chrstian Elizabeth & Co.

Outside of designing children’s clothing, two of Emily’s passions are travel and photography, which she seamlessly incorporates into her company. Her travels not only inspire her design, each of the company’s collections is based around a favorite vacation spot. After the collection is designed, it is photographed in the setting that inspired its design, and Emily does all the photography! It has been a passion of hers since high school.

Emily attended Southern Methodist University and majored in advertising, something she is able to also incorporate in her work since she handles all of the company’s social media and ad work.

When Emily isn’t working alongside her sister and handcrafting this season’s cutest children’s wear, you can find her trying new wines and cuisine with her husband or skiing with her family. Spending time with her kids is one of her greatest joys and her biggest inspiration for her work.

Kathryn Elizabeth Anderson: Co-Founder and Co-Designer

Ever since Kathryn can remember, she has wanted to own her own company -- just like her dad, who she greatly admires for his work ethic balanced with his dedication to his family. When Kathryn was just a senior at Southern Methodist University, her dream came true -- she and her sister, Emily, launched Christian Elizabeth & Co.

One of Kathryn’s favorite parts of owning Christian Elizabeth & Co. is the twice-a-year opening of their sample clothing and seeing the final product for the first time. For her, it is so rewarding to envision an idea in her head and then see it come to life in an actual piece of clothing that she knows will be treasured -- customers send her photos of their kids in her designs all the time!

When Kathryn is not designing precious keepsakes, she is working with her dad at his commercial real estate company in Dallas where she focuses on marketing and digital modeling. While the two job fields are completely different, both offer exciting challenges and an opportunity to work with her family.

In her free time, you can find Kathryn lost in a good book, skiing, practicing yoga, or cooking. She studied abroad in Paris and is always looking for a good reason to get back to Europe.
